CCCC of China benefits from TRIAXYS Next Wave technologySeptember 12, 2013
AXYS Technologies, together with its Chinese partner China ORES Ltd., has recently been awarded a contract to supply the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) Third Harbor Engineering Company Ltd. with a TRIAXYS™ Next Wave Directional Wave Buoy. The buoy will be added to CCCC’s oceanographic equipment pool and used for analysis of waves in relation to new engineering design projects.
New technology in the TRIAXYS Next Wave buoy that differentiated it from other wave buoys competing for the contract was its ability to transmit wave data and buoy system data using three different methods of telemetry. CCCC will have the ability to choose between sending data over VHF, GPRS, or Inmarsat satellite. The three different telemetry options allow for the buoy to be versatile in its ability to be deployed in different locations where one telemetry method may be better suited than another.
Several years ago, having provided CCCC with the first TRIAXYS buoy ever used in China, China ORES (www.china-ore.com) will be available to provide technical support as needed. China ORES is a leading supplier of ocean research equipment in China and has offices in Qingdao, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. For more information please see the China ORES website.
