October 18, 2007

AXYS Technologies Inc. announced today it is continuing with its share of work on an integrated environmental monitoring solution for NaiKun Wind Energy Group in Hecate Strait near the coast of Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands).  Under the contract AXYS is responsible for providing an integrated data collection system: monitoring power metering data, seabed scour, ocean current and wave measurements. Additionally, satellite telemetry is interfaced with a LIDAR wind profiling instrument supplied by QinetiQ of the United Kingdom. AXYS technical and engineering staff performed much of the field installations at the project site. The meteorological station will collect data regarding ocean and atmospheric conditions that will be used in the detailed design of the NaiKun offshore wind project.
